Nick Jefferson is the Managing Director of the London office of gyro, the global ideas shop. A creative Englishman who speaks French, Spanish and a little Chinese, Nick has a sophisticated understanding of diverse cultures – and what makes successful organisations within those cultures ‘tick’. He quickly secures the confidence of C-suite executives; forming candid, long-lasting relationships.
He enjoys a rich, global network of clients and friends.
A graduate of Oxford University, Nick trained as a lawyer, and has since worked in a variety of leadership roles, all anchored around his core expertise: deep, strategic insight and an ability to Get Things Done.
He has set up businesses, grown businesses, turned businesses around. Innovative and entrepreneurial in both approach and philosophy, he has enjoyed sustained success in business development. Nick has hired and fired many times over and has a particular interest in recruiting and developing young, talented leaders of the future – working with them to help them realise their full potential.
Driven by the pursuit of excellence, Nick is most comfortable in fluid, fast-paced situations where multiple, interdependent decisions need to be taken in rapid succession.
A regular blogger and contributor to The Huffington Post, he is at home in intellectually rigorous environments, and enjoys both the development and implementation of creative solutions to real-life organisational challenges.
Nick was formerly CEO of Corporate Edge, the creative agency, which he contemporised and led to a successful cultural and financial turnaround. After having recruited, developed and installed his successor, he left to found IvyBridge, the strategic development consultancy, of which he is a non-exec director.
He never eats alone.
